Driving AI Adoption in Higher Education
American University of Nigeria (AUN)
Background
To support its vision of innovation and operational excellence, AUN partnered with Adaptive Solutions to build digital skills among its non-academic staff. The goal was to improve productivity, wellbeing, and workplace efficiency using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Challenge
The university identified a need for staff to gain practical, beginner-friendly exposure to AI tools that could streamline daily tasks, support mental wellness, and encourage innovation across departments.
Solution
In April 2025, Adaptive Solutions facilitated a campus-wide training on “Artificial Intelligence: Leveraging AI to Enhance Workplace Effectiveness.” The session was attended by 169 staff members.
Participants were introduced to:
- What AI is and how it has evolved
- Practical tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, Notion, Microsoft Dictate, and PowerPoint Designer
- Using AI to improve mental health and personal wellbeing
- Ethical use of AI and the importance of institutional policy
The training was led by our CEO/Chief Consultant, Engr. Amina Abubakar.
